Adam ‘Zuk’ Zuckerman
Working with the industry’s elite is just another day at the office for Adam Zuckerman, aka “Zuk.” His resume reads like a who’s who in the business. F. Gary Gray, Hedi Slimane, Darren Aronofsky, Ray Kay, Chris Robinson, Little X, Anthony Mandler, Jessy Terrero, Laurent Briet, Brett Ratner, are just some of the creative directors who seek out Zuk for his unique cutting style.
It’s near impossible to have missed his influence when watching music videos from artists such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, MUSE, Usher, Enrique Iglesias, Rihanna, Tori Amos, Mariah Carey, Sting, James Blunt, Christina Milian, Ciara, Eminem, Puff Daddy, Nas, Sean Paul, Ludacris, Ceelo, Mos Def, and many many more.
Raised in New York, Zuk was inspired by the multi-cultural music, film, theater, dance and visual arts of the times. Raised as a musician he studied the piano, while also creating his own video pieces by splicing together old VHS recordings when he was just 10. An editor was born. As a teenager, he worked as a DJ, acquiring a vast musical knowledge, which has led to a vinyl collection well into the thousands. From the beginning, Adam’s creativity and originality has earned him numerous nominations and awards as a young Editor / Sound Designer.
Adam has worked on musical movies, documentaries, and commercials, clients including Pepsi, Reebok, Playstation, Audi, Rockstar, Viacom, Radical Media, HSI, A Band Apart, Paramount, Partizan, Rockhard Films, Showtime to name a few. The recent Showtime brand image campaign BRACE YOURSELF is the spawn of Adam’s creative touch.
In 2008 Adam edited a theatrical release of RENT titled ‘RENT FILMED LIVE ON BROADWAY’ and in 2004 was the editor who brought you ‘JAY-Z’S FADE TO BLACK’ (Rolling Stones quoted -‘Hip Hops Last Waltz’) both produced by Radical Media.
Adam’s unique and original touches, musically syncopated editing style, understanding of emotion in relation to story and pacing, together with great technological skills, have earned him a well-deserved reputation as a top creative offline editor in New York, Los Angeles, and around the globe. Adam is currently bi-coastal living in NYC and Los Angeles.
