Two-Time Emmy Award winner, Patrick Gambuti, Jr. has produced, written and/or edited numerous award-winning independent feature documentaries. Among them are Greedy Lying Bastards, a hard-hitting documentary exposing the denial campaign surrounding climate change; Bill W. a revealing look into the life of Alcoholics Anonymous cofounder Bill Wilson, his decent into alcoholism, and the creation of AA; and At The Edge of the World, a cinema vérité documentary following the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as they pursued the Japanese whaling fleet in the Southern Ocean off the coast of Antarctica. This award winning film was the precursor to the hit television series Whale Wars.
His numerous television documentaries for HBO’s America Undercover include Dead Blue: Surviving Depression, Panic, Suicide, and Crank: Made in America. All challenging and insightful, these documentaries looked into some of the dark corners of America.
His television series work includes The Media Project for IFC, The World Series of Poker for ESPN and The Lance Chronicles for OLN. He has also collaborated on commercial campaigns for Hillary Clinton, Jon Corzine and Andrew Cuomo.
